Ameer against Paruthiveeran

                  Paruthiveeran is a film which had Karthi and Priyamani in the lead roles. This film which was released in 2007 was directed by Ameer. This film was a great success and also it fetched National Awards for director Ameer and Priyamani.


                  This film which was produced by Studio Green has now decided to release its dubbed version in Telugu with the title Palanti Veerudu.It was decided to release this film on 2nd March. At this juncture director Ameer has given a complaint to Chennai Police Commissioner against Studio Green.


                  Director Ameer while speaking about this said, “Studio Green has decided to release Paruthiveeran in Telugu without my permission. They have not given me rights and royalty amount and are trying to release the film on 2nd March.


                    I came to know this issue earlier itself and I had given intimation in writing to Gemini Colour Labs stating that they should not give Telugu dubbing rights and remake rights negative to anyone. They took the letter and assured me that they will not give the rights to anyone but Gemini Colour Labs and Studio Green have jointly cheated me and have decided to release this film in Telugu. I am making a complaint about this issue to the Chennai Police Commissioner since the story and screenplay of this film belongs to me.”
