Asin awaiting to pair up opposite Shah Rukh Khan

Actress Asin has been nursing a secret ambition to pair up opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan for a long time now. The actress forfeited her top billing in Tamil films a few years back to move to Mumbai and try out her luck in Bollywood. Her first Hindi film was the Hindi remake of the Tamil super-hit Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan. It turned out to be a super-duper hit. Incidentally, Asin had played the lead role in the Tamil version too opposite Suriya.


She then starred in London Dreams opposite Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn and then followed it up with Ready opposite Salman again. Successive films opposite Salman gave room for rumours that the two were a pair and were seeing each other. She has five more films in various stages of production including Housefull-2, Bol Bachchahn and Race-2.


Her burning desire, however, appears to be to pair up opposite SRK in at least one film. She is said to have been offered the chance to become heroine of ‘King’ Khan in an upcoming film titled 2 States, an adaptation of a novel penned by popular author Chetan Bhagat. Though it’s not officially stated by either of them, it’s a known secret in Bollywood that Shah Rukh and Salman are surely not on back-slapping terms.


It was Salman who patronized Asin in the beginning of her career by doing two films opposite her. In the context of Asin pairing up opposite SRK, it remains to be seen whether Salman would continue to be ‘generous’ towards Asin. In the meantime, SRK has also signed up a film opposite hottie Katrina Kaif, an ex-flame of Salman Khan.
