Shivaji's Fame Shriya Saran
She has acted in almost all South Indian films and Hindi too. A master of three languages Hindi, Telugu and English has also picked up some Tamil, but finds Malayalam quite difficult. She has almost acted with all top heroes of the South glam. Be it Chiranjeevi or Prabhas, Rajni or Vikram, she is at ease and never find language or culture a barrier. As per her interview in Mumbai to the media, she has said that the Tamil film with Superstar Rajnikanth, Shivaji (The Boss) turned a new life to her career, with offers walking in from all quarters. Shivaji was the maximum grosser in 2007, the year of its release.
"Shivaji changed my life completely. It did give me a lot of respect. It did open a lot of doors for me. Deepa Mehta saw me in 'Shivaji' and took me for 'Cooking With Stella' and again in 'Midnight's Children'. A lot of Hindi movie directors approached me after 'Shivaji'," Shriya Saran. The southern actor who is basically from the north has not had much success in Hindi. But after a three-year break, she will be seen in a Hindi movie titled "Gali Gali Shor Hai" which she said "is a political satire. It's not that we are slapping the system. It's just that we are trying to bring a change.
